The waltz begins again
Even before the last dance has ended
A step forward
A step backward
Sometimes in tandem
Sometimes not
At times fumbling and hesitant
At others confident and sure
She looks at him
And all the old fears rush back
As she maintains composure
There is a torrent inside
The struggles have begun
She is torn inside
And she can walk away
She assures herself
She sees the signs
The pattern starts to repeat
Will she dance again
Will she be free
And the waltz begins again
Even before the last dance has ended
A step forward
A step backward
P.S: Wishing everyone A very happy and properous Diwali
P.P.S: God... I'll do the tag after this post...

and HAPPY DIWALI!!!
Hey Sindhu,
I did! Thanks!
Wishing you a very hapy diwali as well :)
Diwali wishes GoST[goddess of social thoughts incase u forgot :P].
The waltz..hmm..pretty philosohpical, though I could see it was a purely romantic one here.
Reminded me of this beautiful poetry..from a kid to his dad..its called "My Papa's Waltz" by T.roethke
The whiskey on your breath
Could make a small boy dizzy;
But I hung on like death:
Such waltzing was not easy.
We romped until the pans
Slid from the kitchen shelf;
My mother's countenance
Could not unfrown itself.
The hand that held my wrist
Was battered on one knuckle;
At every step you missed
My right ear scraped a buckle.
You beat time on my head
With a palm caked hard by dirt,
Then waltzed me off to bed
Still clinging to your shirt.
P.S:The beautiful waltz as a delay for the tag is very much acceptable by the god :)
Hey NG
a pretty cool poem. love it for its simplicity. i like paras 4 n 5. i guess everyone can relate to struggles in life:d
Wish you a very happy and prosperous Diwali.
take care
ciao
I just read it again... twice more..
And its beautiful.... :) Seriously beautiful!
Hey God,
This waltz was interesting too...
How did u know it had romantic connotations... it is that obvious?
Hey TD,
I am sure everyone can...
Wishing you a very happy diwali :)
Hey Nautenkey,
Forgot to wish you earlier... Happy Diwali!
Hey Sindhu,
Thanks... I'd written this a few days ago and I was wondering whether I shud put it up or not... But i did...:)
GoST[hope folks don't read it as ghost:P],
I am a romantic god u see :).. actually the lines
"She looks at him
And all the old fears rush back"
gave me that connotations.
Ofcourse we can read between the lines and get few more meanings but then u know gods dont strain their brains much.we have godmen for that :P
Well,
Waltzing is life. Only the tempo makes the difference between the dull and the whirlpool.
I won 't try to read between the lines but the tempo of this poem give the tempo of your thoughts.
Marvelous... to be gifted.
Wish you all the very best as always.
AP DIPA WALI.
I see.. our god is all knowing.. all pervasive... omni present... hari om! or is it jai vodka baba!
Salut Moai!
Comment allez vous?
Thanks for the wishes :)
This poem sure tells the tempo...
Its Jai Nautankey Baba!! :D
Hey Sindhu,
I should have known! :D
Hey Zephyr,
Its been a while. I went to O3 today and wow! no one from the old days is there. Hope all is well with you. Keep in touch.
GW
Thanks
Je vais bien
J ai pensé a ceci, une valse c'est assez misogine. elle est conduite par l'homme. Qu'en penses tu?
TR:
I am OK
I thought about this: a waltz is quite "misogine" dancing. It is male driven. What do you think about it?
Hey GW,
I am doing good! How about you??
O3 is now just a pale shadow of its former self... Its pretty sad there :(
If you have read my blog you must have realized I have moved to the UK for an year :)
Hey Moai,
Lets take this discussion to a more philosophical level...
Even though the man 'leads' the dance... if the man did not move in tandem with the woman or vice versa it would never work...
We women give the impression of man being in charge which may not be the case :D
Misogyne spells better this way.
funny answer, I will be extra carefull for the next waltz then. I am so poor a dancer I hope I ll know I am waltzing.
Take care
Hey...good to find your URL back on blogspot...used to read ur blog earlier on O3...If you remeber this is Envisage :-)
BTW lovely page design...I loved the vibrancy
And this is a pretty cool poem...U wrote this? Quite nice.
Oh Moai,
This poem was more of an analogy than about the actual dance.... :)
Hi Kanupriya,
Welcome here!!!
I used to read your blog quite often too though I didn't comment much! And I wrote this poem...
